Important to eat, my mum always told me... so have had breakfast and lunch! My mum also sent me makrell i tomat porsjonspakning, very clever coz only small and no leftovers...
must get better soon... have a huge presentation on saturday and going for a trip next week!
Watching Bones season 4 on dvd, cahtting on msn and reading tons of gosspi magazines. What did i do when i was younger and had no Mr Dell and no Internet and no dvd or daytime tv?? Well the highlight was when tv 2 was introduced in 1992, i was so much sick taht year and felt a huge celebration when I was able to move on from watching only Eldretrimmen on NRK (isnt that true Janne??) and if luck some daytime sports (luck that i was over average interested in soccer, downhill skiing and i dont know what else. My sister was NOT. VM in Japan 1993 I was up in the midle of the night to watch!)
We did lots of reading and watching the VHS tapes my uncle had taped from UK with kids show, my mum always made sure she has some spare ones... (not that we are a part of children in need program but i think my mum was very gratful for BBC at times...haha)
And we were allowed to drink soft drink and eat ice cream. My poor mum, had two of us home sick so much. We knew how to argue and fight, despite have no breath to do that!!
At least we were lucky to have a parents around! Not only when we were sick, but just having an involved parent or two that was not to involved.. I am starting to realise that more and more. people ahve kids but dont take care of them... Maids, schools and kindergartens... then when they go home thei have the maid to do the work... or grandparents. ororor... or the other extreme, parents keep callling the teacher non stop. and is to inivolved like feeding their 5 year old with a fork at McDonalds or having htem in a pram at 6 and having to always be around their kids... WHat happened to teach kids normal good behaviour (folkeskikk!!) and being independent? Not everyone of course, itdepends on the culture and the person.Just something I have noticed, that people dont realise how much time you have to spend with your children! Here some kids have never heard no... kids need boundaries. But that is not what i was going to write about! haha just a passion of mine...
Another thing i remember is that it was never so much fun to take the garbage out or get more wood for the woodfire as when you where sick and ment to hold mummys hand for 2 weeks... even my sister was willingly offering to take the garbage out! ;-)
Memories are great!
